On August 8th, the China National Coal Association (CNCA) organized and held a press conference in Beijing to release the 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report for the coal industry. Over 150 participants, including leaders such as CNCA President Liang Jiakun and Vice President Sun Shouren, relevant principals and representatives from enterprises that released their CSR reports such as the National Energy Group, as well as principals from various associations, departments, and affiliated units of CNCA, experts, professors, and news media, attended the conference. Sixty-four enterprises, including the National Energy Group, China Shenhua Energy, Guoneng Ningxia Coal Industry Company, China National Coal Group, Shanghai Datun Energy Co., Ltd., China Coal Technology & Engineering Group, China Coal Geological Administration, State Power Investment Corporation, Huadian Coal Industry Group, Beijing Haohua Energy Co., Ltd., Kailuan Group, Jizhong Energy Group, Jinneng Holding Group, Shanxi Coking Coal Group, Huayang Group, Lu'an Chemical Industry Group, Henan Energy Group, Huaihe Energy Group, Huaibei Mining Group, Yitai Group, and Liaoning Xinfeng Mining Group, released their CSR reports. The practical cases of 10 enterprises, including Guoneng Zhuneng Group and Jinneng Holding Group, were awarded as Top Ten Best Practices in the coal industry's social responsibility, while the practical cases of enterprises such as Guoneng International Development Company, Shanxi Coking Coal Group, and Liaoning Xinfeng Mining Group were recognized as Excellent Practices in the coal industry's social responsibility.

 At the meeting, Sha Peng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Coal Mine Support Professional Committee of the China National Coal Association and General Manager of Liaoning Xinfeng Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., released the "Xinfeng Group Social Responsibility Report (2024)" on behalf of Xinfeng Group. The report systematically elaborated on the effectiveness of Xinfeng Group's fulfillment of social responsibilities, covering aspects such as company overview, development achievements, responsibility practices, and future prospects. Leaders including Liang Jiakun, President of the China National Coal Association, and Sun Shouren, Vice President, presented awards to the enterprises that released social responsibility reports and the award-winning units.

Vice President Sun Shouren delivered a speech at the meeting. He pointed out that accelerating the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of the coal industry, promoting the deep integration of traditional characteristics and modern perspectives, and keeping up with the pace of ESG and sustainable development are of great and practical significance. It is necessary to correctly handle the relationship between enterprise development and social responsibility, the relationship between social responsibility and ESG, and the relationship between social responsibility and sustainable development, and comprehensively promote the implementation and rooting of social responsibility management and ESG concepts in the coal industry. Social responsibility work should adhere to combining with promoting enterprise reform and development, strengthening enterprise management innovation, managing enterprises in accordance with laws and regulations, and combining with long-term enterprise planning, continuously enriching the social responsibility system with characteristics of the coal industry. It is necessary to focus on innovative practice, coordinated operation, green development, open development, and shared win-win results, and continuously build an open ecosystem for social responsibility in the coal industry.

 President Liang Jiakun emphasized that in the future, the coal industry must bear in mind the earnest instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, uphold the spirit of "self-improvement leads to strength", push social responsibility work to new heights, and actively promote the dedication of coal miners, providing greater spiritual strength for the high-quality development of the coal industry.
